Why A Virtual Jog-A-Thon
Promotes the importance of physical fitness while keeping people safe from COVID-19.
Builds school spirit and pride.
Instills a sense of accomplishment.
Gives our students a memorable way to participate in supporting their education.
Your participation and contributions are key for a successful fundraiser that will allow us to reduce the impact of the ongoing budget cuts to our school. As many of you know, COVID-19 has devastated the economy. The state continues to reduce school budgets everywhere, our efforts to raise funds allows the PTC the ability to fill in some of the gaps and protect the
education and programs offered to our RSA students. 100% of funds raised will benefit our students and we need funds more than ever!

What is our goal?
Our goal is to raise $10,000 primarily to fund to positively impact our school’s educational and arts program. Funds raised help fill in some of the gaps and protect the unique programs offered at RSA. 100% of funds will benefit our students.. If every child raises $30, we will meet our goal!
How Does a Virtual Jog-A-Thon Work?
1. Students Collect Pledge Donations
Collecting pledges is easier than you think – most people are happy to help. Even donations of $5 and $10 add up quickly when everyone participates!! The key is to ask! Direct people to this website RSAFoxTrot.com to donate online. Remind them to enter the student's name, and homeroom teacher for whom they wish to receive credit towards prizes for the donation.
Please support your child’s attempts to solicit donations. Encourage your student to ask grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbors (please do not solicit strangers), family friends, parents, co-workers, coaches, tutors, and babysitters.
Sponsors can donate a flat fee, or donate based your your students personal goal - (per mile, per step, etc).
2. The event lasts ALL MONTH!
In the past, the Fox Trot has been a one day event. Because we are virtual this year the FUN lasts the entire month of October!
Have your student set their personal goals, and include family goals too, if you like! Keep track and share how you are doing by going to the RSA PTC Facebook Page, or send an email to [email protected]! We'd love to see photos that we can share with the entire school! Challenge friends and classmates! Let's make this the best virtual fundraiser around!
3. Press your donors to go to the website to contribute!
Remind your donors to include the name of your child and their homeroom, distance learning, or homeschool teacher name so that we can keep accurate track for prizes!
ALL donations must be in by Friday November 6th to be considered in prize calculations.
4. Prizes and Recognition
Students can earn prizes for their efforts! This is true for distance and homeschool kids also! See Prizes page for details.

Does every student have to participate?
Normally, we say yes! But given this unusual year we aren't requiring students to participate. But we are hoping they all will and that their families will get in on the fun too! No amount is too small to help our school!
