Why A Jog-A-Thon
Promotes the importance of physical fitness.
Builds school spirit and pride.
Instills a sense of accomplishment.
Gives our students a memorable way to participate in supporting their education.
Your participation and contributions are key for a successful spring fundraiser that will allow us to reduce the
impact of the ongoing budget cuts to our school. As many of you know, the state continues to reduce school budgets
everywhere, our efforts to raise funds allows the PTC the ability to fill in some of the gaps and protect the
education and programs offered to our RSA students. 100% of funds raised will benefit our students.

What is our goal?
Our goal is to raise $35,000 and those funds will positively impact our school’s educational and arts program. Funds raised help fill in some of the gaps and protect the unique programs offered at RSA. 100% of funds will benefit our students.. If every child raises $65, we will meet our goal!
How Does a Jog-A-Thon Work?
1. Students Collect Pledge Donations
Collecting pledges is easier than you think – most people are happy to help. Even donations of $5 and $10 add up quickly when everyone participates!! The key is to ask! Donations will all be collected online. You can also direct people to this website RSAFoxTrot.com to donate. Remind them to enter the student's name for whom they wish to receive credit towards prizes for the donation.
Please support your child’s attempts to solicit donations. Encourage your student to ask grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbors (please do not solicit strangers), family friends, parents, co-workers, coaches, tutors, and babysitters.
2. Event Day
On the day of the event, ALL students will participate regardless of whether they have collected donations or not. Students will run with their homeroom at a specified time. Students will attempt to walk/jog/run as many laps as possible during a 15, 20, 25 or 30 minute period (depending on their grade), around a 1/4 of a mile course. Volunteers will help keep track of each students’ laps. Last year, students had a good time cheering each other on!
3. ALL funds must be collected and turned in by October 25th, 2024 to be considered in prize calculations.
4. Prizes and Recognition
There will be several opportunities for students to earn prizes and be recognized for their efforts. Some prizes will be based on participation, some on donation levels, while others will be based on effort the day of the event (total laps
completed). See Prizes page for details.

Does every student have to participate?
Yes! Students have the choice to collect donations but regardless of donations collected, ALL students will be expected to run/walk with their homeroom at their scheduled time. If your student has a medical reason that prevents them from walking for a half an hour, please contact their homeroom teacher.
This is a fun event. Students participate at their own level. The students have fun running or walking together, cheering each other on and trying to outdo last year's #s.
